This month The Audio Suite was delighted to welcome Oscar-winning actress Julie Christie to their Birmingham, UK studios, to carry-out the complete adr recording for her role as Isabelle - opposite actor John Hurt - in her new feature film 'New York I Love You', an anthology story of encountering love within the five boroughs of New York City.
Written and directed by Anthony Minghella, this will be remembered as his last, unfinished, piece of work, following his tragically-early death in March 2008.
The session was directed remotely from New York by the film's new director Shekhar Kapur (The Four Feathers; Elizabeth: The Golden Age) by utilising The Audio Suite's highly efficient Virtual Dubbing Theatre service; which enabled Mr. Kapur and Supervising Sound Editor Allen Lau to remain in New York, whilst communicating directly and in real-time with both Ms. Christie and adr recording engineer Neil Hillman MPSE, at The Audio Suite's studios.

A little of Hollywood has arrived Birmingham, with an audio post-production studio in the city helping to produce a cult classic film - shot hundreds of miles away beside the Mediterranean.
The Audio Suite, far away from any sun-kissed shores in Birmingham, has been chosen for the Sound Design and mixing work on the film shot in Sardinia, called 'The Mandrake Root', and set in the Renaissance time of the Medicis.

A steamy anti-drink drive film is set to collect an International Gold award in New York this week, after The Audio Suite designed and mixed the sound track for producers of an intimate 90-second film, 'Steamy Windows'.
A beautiful model in a state of undress catches the attention in the video, in an apparently torrid scene, through steamed-up car windows...
