Sound editing and sound design online classes

Are your soundtracks badly letting down your picture editing?
Are you apprehensive about the audio aspects of projects?
Would you like to ‘deep-dive’ into sound design?

If you said ‘Yes!’ to any of those questions, then relax, we’re here to help!

We won’t claim to be able to turn you into a master sound designer or re-recording mixer overnight, or shortcut the years it takes to fully acquire the necessary knowledge and experience to achieve such standing… Because the truth is (and clichéd as it might sound) you never stop learning! But our training modules are designed to give picture creatives and industry newcomers a greater understanding and confidence in the use of thoughtful sound editing and sound design, through live, online classes devised by highly experienced Supervising Sound Editor and Mixer, Neil Hillman MPSE.

Delivered through our own training team at the Sound for Moving Pictures Academy, all of the modules utilise the Fairlight Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) within the FREE DaVinci Resolve post-production software, ensuring no one is excluded due to the cost of software; and depending on the workshop, students are offered the opportunity to sit the optional Blackmagic Design Fairlight End User and Fairlight Advanced User examinations.

We are proud to be one of the hand-picked Blackmagic Design Certified Training Partners, and our guiding philosophy is simple: ‘To be the most trusted creative training provider, delivering affordable, relevant and focussed professional knowledge.’
